Preheat your oven to 450°.
Place the seasoned roast bone-side down on a roasting pan or a rack set inside a baking sheet.
Roast the rib roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes to sear the outside and lock in the juices.
After 15 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 325°F and continue roasting until the internal temperature reaches your desired level of doneness. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 130-135°F.
After resting, carve the roast into slices and serve with your favorite side dishes.
