Preheat your oven to 275°F.
Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket, making sure to coat it evenly on all sides.
Place the brisket in a roasting pan or baking dish, fat side up.
Pour the beef broth or water into the bottom of the pan.
Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil.
Roast the brisket in the preheated oven for about 5-6 hours, or until it is fork-tender.
Once cooked, remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes before slicing.
Slice the brisket against the grain and serve hot.
